MILLENNIUM MEDIA ANNOUNCES NEW INSTALLMENT OF HELLBOY: THE CROOKED MAN

BRIAN TAYLOR SET TO DIRECT WITH SPP MARCH 2023

Millennium Media announced today that Brian Taylor (Crank) will be directing the new Hellboy film, The Crooked Man. Starting production in March 2023, the franchise will continue to expand Hellboy’s world through one of the most beloved issues of the comic series.

Stranded in 1950s rural Appalachia, Hellboy and a rookie BPRD agent disover a small community haunted by witches, led by a local devil with a troubling connection to Hellboy’s past: the Crooked Man.

Millennium Media bought the rights to Hellboy in 2018 with a commitment to be true to the comics. Mike Mignola, creator of the comics, penned the script alongside Chris Golden. “The Crooked Man will introduce us to new characters that have yet to be depicted on the big screen and include characters we know and love. This Hellboy story is phenomenal – it’s action packed, emotional, and has a bit of comic relief. Brian Taylor is an expert across the board, and we can’t wait to see him bring this story to life to show our audience the new and improved Hellboy,” stated Millennium Media’s President Jeffrey Greenstein.

Producers for The Crooked Man include Millennium Media’s Jeffrey Greenstein, Jonathan Yunger, Les Weldon, Rob Van Norden, and Yariv Lerner, Lawrence Gordon, Lloyd Levin, and Mike Richardson. Mike Mignola, Millennium Media’s Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, and Tanner Mobley, Lati Grobman, and Christa Campbell are among the executive producers. Sam Schulte will co-produce on behalf of Millennium Media.

Millennium Media recently released the horror film The Offering. Their upcoming slate for 2023 includes The Bricklayer with Aaron Eckhart and Nina Dobrev, The Piper with Charlotte Hope and Julian Sands, and the 4th installment of The Expendables franchise. They have recently wrapped production on their highly anticipated comic book adaptation Red Sonja starring Matilda Lutz, Wallis Day, and Robert Sheehan, Dirty Angels starring Eva Green, Ruby Rose, and Maria Bakalova, and Subservience starring Megan Fox.
